“This is an awesome tool. I live in a location with heavy clay soil. I attached this august to a DEWALT 60v concrete mixing drill and it went through that soil like butter! I’m glad to have this auger in my arsenal. I intend to purchase one for larger plants and small shrubs in the future. Save your back. Get one of these and a GOOD, preferably CORDLESS drill. You can always get more money, but you have only one spine and one set of disks.”
“Great so far, only used for 500 2x5 inch plugs to date. It went very fast. It is the perfect hole for 2x5 inch deep plugs or 2x2 shallow plugs. The 3 inch auger I used before required more backfilling around the plugs. A hint to help get the right depth-- I painted the auger a different color above 5 inches so I would know when to stop.”
