I was hoping this would be just the ticket for planting a couple hundred crocus and Muscari and Iris bulbs in my lawn for very early spring bloom. Unfortunately the heavy clay soil I have just sticks to the auger and won't drop off. So I have to pull it off. In a better loamy soil these should work great. For me not so much. The long length was nice so I could stand while doing this.

Works great with my Dewalt drill... but be sure your drill has a clutch to avoid wrist injuries as mine does. Goes through very rocky soil unexpectedly well, and had no issues with bending or breaking digging down 30" as other cheaper options from other companies have had. Money well spent and it should last a really long time!

put it in my 1/2 inch dewalt drill - i used it to scout out rocks in the soil that might present a problem installing fence posts - it was rocky soil but the auger was fast and fairly easy to use and helped cut my time significantly
