Extra Large Earth Auger with Heavy-Duty Tip (9" x 28") Reviews

4 Rating 8 Reviews
While the auger worked well, eventually, cutting through a variety of soils (compost to clay) with roots and stones, nevertheless it required a lot of extra effort because there was a burr inside the auger and it took a couple of hours to take care of this issue to have it work with the 16" heavy-duty extender.

Quality product, great price, and great customer service (thanks Olivia). I will purchase other augers in the near future. I highly recommend Power Planter for commercial jobs and residential projects. You will not be disappointed.

As a landscape contractor, I was a little hesitant to invest so much in an auger like this with the rocky digging conditions that we normally encounter. ( New England ) That being said, I wish I had years ago! Was beyond impressed with how durable and efficient this auger is. Have already purchased multiple other sizes. The increased productivity made it a no brainer!

The earth auger works fine. It throws soil debris very far and doesn’t necessarily meet my needs in working in residential landscape applications.

I started using power planter augers before I started my YouTube channel Dirt and Dish. I bought the 3x12" auger for bulbs. I planted about 150 bulbs in a little over an hour. Would've been less but tree roots and compacted clay soil. (The auger can get through them but I didn't want to injure the tree's root system) I purchased the 7" auger then the 9". Game changers. I can plant in half the time or less thanks to Power Planter. A couple of things to note: First, make sure you have the proper drill. The larger augers need a more powerful drill. Second, watch the safety video from Power Planter before you use your auger. These are powerful tools and you don't want to use them improperly and cause injury. But they are amazing and have upped my gardening game. I need a few more sizes for my collection but I absolutely love them.
