I have had one of these driers for thirty years. It was old and broken when i aquired it,but after a bit of welding and painting it did me proud for half a lifetime. I have now got a new one as the old one finally expired. Power Tools Direct were the cheapest on the internet and they delivered in good time. However it stopped winding up and down after a few days and needed returning.PTD were very good and sent me a new one asap, and picked up the old one with no charge to myself. I am pleased with PTD's response and level of customer service and would not hesitate to use them again. Thanks PTD.

I ordered a new washing dryer, because the old one i had was over 40years old and had rusted through. The new one arrived in good time from this company with no problem and they were the cheapest. After about three weeks ,it will no longer go up and down when turning the handle. I have contacted power tools direct, who are finding out whether to repair or replace it. I also found that i had to be carefull running the line through the holes in the arms ,as they have been punched and have rough edges which shred the line as it passes through. The holes are not large enough to pass the line through twice ,so those holes have to be enlarged. When it works again,i expect it to last many years, but not happy at the moment.

The service from the supplier was very good - but the Hills product did not meet it's manufactures specification, in that you could not lower the main drying arms to the 'lock' position by about 5 cm - product returned.

This is a serious piece of equipment, Make sure you measure the space in your garden, so it will fit. Read very carefully the instructions contained within, and follow them It is very heavy and will need at least 2 people to erect it over 2-3 days it needs to be set in concrete Very good quality and very good value for money, it is very sturdy and should last for a very long time. The wind up facility is what I was looking for - it is a great feature Basically, every home should one

Well made clothes drier, built to last. Has loads of room for even the largest wash. A bit more expensive than some other dryer's but well worth the extra as it is so well made and come with a 10 year guarantee. Even the cloths line is reinforced with steel wire. As you have to dig a large hole and cement in the main pole for all of this type of dryer you are as well to get a good one like this.

So brilliant! I live by the sea in Cornwall and so winds are a big issue. Other expensive heavy duty rotaries have bent and broken despite assurances. This is so solid and well made. I think will outlive me! If you have wind issues this the one for you.
