My review of the Sip 05313 QT Battery & Mains 5ltr Oilless Compressor Plenty of Good points (all IMHO): • At 10.8kg this is easy enough to carry and transport. • Comfortable, ergonomic carry handle. • Low centre of gravity, so unlike to topple or tip over. • Built in 5ltr air tank which fills within seconds and speeds up the whole job. • The Compressor is Powerful, Fast (65ltr/min) and Quiet (65db). • Operates from 240v or a supplied Rechargeable 20v 4.0Ah Battery. • No (noticeable) reduction in power when using batteries vs mains. • Supplied with 1 x 4.0Ah Battery and Mains Charger. • Integrated Mains Cable Storage (keeps it safe and tidy). • Illuminated 2” LCD Screen which shows the ‘Set Pressure’, ‘Current Pressure’, ‘Running Speed’ and the ‘Total Running Time of the compressor’. • Neat Control Panel with 4 buttons: On/Off, Increase ‘Set Pressure’ (+), Decrease ‘Set Pressure’ (-) and Fast/Quiet Button. • Air Outlet fitting is a 1/4“ BSP Euro (XF) Coupling Socket. • Rubber Feet that prevent vibration and movement. • Auto shut-off when the ‘Set Pressure’ is reached. • Auto re-start when the ‘Set Pressure’ drops (by approximately 10%). • Air Tank drain plug to prevent moisture within the tank. • 2 x Replaceable Air Filters. • 24-month sip warranty. • Professional looking bit of kit and the Build Quality looks to be good. • * This will also run straight off Makita 18v-20v Batteries (or Dewalt, Milwaukee, etc 18v-20v Batteries with a battery adapter which is not supplied). The not so good points: • This compressor’s (0.67hp) motor is POWERFUL and as such uses 500 watts, so needless to say, a 4.0Ah battery lasts only 15 minutes max’….. You WILL NEED spares (but see above *). • There is no Battery Level Display. The compressor simply displays a Low Voltage (E01) warning at >16v and then shuts off. • The Pressure Displays are in MPa (rather than psi). It would be nice to have a choice.. • The LCD is illuminated but only for a limited time (which would be frustrating in low light). As you can see from the above……. I’m really impressed with this versatile and quality Compressor and even with the minus points, I highly recommend it!
