“Altberg boots tend to be a slimmer fit boot so be careful if you have wide feet like mine. I risked it, bought a pair and found them useable. They are fine for gardening, bushcraft, camping, etc, but I wouldn't wear them for a day's hill walking due to the width issue. As seconds, mine had a faint crease across the toes...that was it, so virtually brand new. The sole is a simple sole that is easy to replace when worn out as opposed to the modern, contoured design that only accepts the original manufacturer's sole. Consequently, any competent shoe repairer can resole them. All in all, good value.”
