The webinar was great in confirming which building regulations need to be complied with, and following on I thought that it would be useful to provide some further practical advice. In particular, I suspect that most members would prefer to limit their involvement to initial survey, specification and waterproofing installation, this in association with a general builder undertaking preparation, services installation and general fitting out, so that PCA members do not, if they so choose, need to undertake general building works, and in avoiding such, not competing with builders who may provide work to members under this or other circumstances. In cases where members are asked to obtain building regulations for a client, which can be charged for, then members would best do what Trace do, which is to 'Partner' with their local authority building control department who can then approve the regulations for any job in any area.

A good high level introduction to the subject - certainly provoked a number of thoughts that might not have otherwise been considered.

Hi Robert....many thanks for your feedback. Much appreciated. It certainly is one of those subjects that can be hard to focus on, disgust and take it. It is good to hear however, that you felt James did rather well in the delivery. Many thanks again for the feedback.
