I found this a very interesting session with a lot of good discussion from both sides of the argument.

Good overview of the subject. But a little limited to why residents aren't to blame. The title should have been - Damp and Mould: Why is not all a lifestyle issue? People, buildings, and government funding must be factored in.

Absolutely brilliant and informative. The presenters have shared and given me a wealth of knowledge on the subject! Best Regards George Valentine, SBC Damp Proofing.

The seminars speaker James was very knowledgable and as with many of the webinars had a different angle on the subject. Andy was a brilliant host as always. PCA's webinars are just a brilliant breath of fresh air for me, always very informative and based in experience and common sense from induistry professionals. I look forward to the next one.

"Lifestyle" has been used as a convenient means of fobbing off mould and damp problems as occupier based for too long. However, to suggest that occupiers have no involvement in mould and damp problems is equally untrue. This webinar seeks to show objectively the varied range of factors producing mould and damp problems, and how they can be related, as there is rarely a single cause. Some relate to the structure and its performance, some relate to white goods and other fitments, and some relate to how these are used by occupiers. Objective investigation is possible, and should be used to analyse causes, and put forward improvement and control measures.

That was nothing i did not know about the issues of lifestyle living, I am more interested in how to educate the tenant, As personally this can be a lifestyle issue, Where for example, You have a tenant that will not open windows and does not use the heating and you can't move around the property due to the overwhelming items in the property and you have mould, This is due to their lifestyle living!!!

It was a really good professional presentation, that was both engaging and thought provoking. I enjoyed the slides, the chat and the Q&A at the end of the session. This subject is such an important topic in housing and construction, it needs the full industry pulling together to effectively educate, tenants, clients, surveyors, building owners and everyone that is affected.
