I enjoyed the webinar but I thought that it could have been made clearer that mould growth does not always indicate a condensation problem just a moisture problem; it could be penetrating dampness or plumbing leaks. I was amazed by the basic lack of knowledge shown by the comments made by some of the attendees. How can 'cold bridges' be anything but a building problem. There were many comments on how to clean off mould growth; these folks should be more concerned with stopping it developing in the first place. Even a basic search on Google would yield information on how fungi grow.

As always, PCA webinars are amazing for students like myself. Some of the information presented I knew from SAVA traning, however, some of it I never heard before, so I personally found it most beneficial special stanks to James and Andy :)

It was a very interesting presentation, and seemed to cover the main issues. Mention was made of overcrowding, and I think a large part of the problem is that many Council/HA properties are very compact/small for the number of occupants, so there isn't a sufficient volume of air to avoid high moisture levels.

Joined the webinar half way through. As it happens I was attending a property with a damp and mould problem, and reporting my findings.

Having been a surveyor involved with social housing for a long period I understand the issue. I used to think it was all about lifestyle, but I think differently now. No one wants to live in a cold damp home, but some people have to make some difficult choices, heat or eat. I believe it’s up to social landlords and associations to take the lead and provide free heating to a comfortable level, proper ventilation and a healthy atmosphere in which to live. This should be part of the rent and tenancy agreement. Better education on the subject would help too. A healthy environment in which to live shouldn’t be a choice in this day and age. A good webinar with great coaching.

The quality and content of the webinar was very good, however putting it on during work hours makes it really hard to make time for especially if you've kept that time window clear and then at the last moment you have to see a customer, or an issue comes up on site, then you have to give the webinar up. I've had to miss several before because I knew with the projects that where happening and the work load I wouldn't be able to commit the time even though it's only an hour, and that a shame because I'm sure there's more people like me that have missed our are missing out on the great content of the PCA webinars and the PCA is missing out on the audience it should be getting!
