We spent a wonderful two weeks aboard the M/V Grace in the Galapagos Islands. The crew was exceptionally friendly and accomodating to our requests, and the two naturalists gave us many insights into the flora and fauna of the islands. Being on a historic boat gave the trip a special sense of style, even though the yacht was extensively renovated in 2008-10 The food was imaginative, tasty, and beautifully plated. Snacks were available throughout the day, and coffee was available early in the morning. There were at least two excursions each day, sometimes more, on both land and sea. If you want to see penguins, the western islands are better. If you want to see albatrosses, only one island on the eastern side has these birds.

Hello Neil, Thank you for your great feedback. We are thrilled to hear that you had a great time aboard the Grace. We want to include one minor comment in reply to your comment about penguins, and that is that guests have equal opportunities to see Galapagos Penguin colonies on all our itineraries. Visitor sites like Chinese Hat and Bartolome (found in the center of the archipelago) offer excellent interaction with Penguin colonies, including opportunities to swim with them. These islands are part of the itineraries that do not visit the Western Islands. Your comment about albatrosses is correct, though. These birds are only found on Española Island. Thanks again for your feedback and we look forward to welcoming you back on our adventures one day soon. ~ The Quasar Customer Service Team

My husband and I spent our honeymoon in Grace and exploredthe Galapagos and had the best time ever! The staff were so friendly, warm and exceeded our expectations. The food was amazing- chef Alejandro and the pastry chef (I forgot his name) made fantastic dishes that we truly enjoyed! We loved that snacks and refreshments were served after every excursion. Renan, our server/ bartender always had a smile on his face no matter how busy he was. He is a hardworking man, very pleasant to be around and extremely genuine. Ariana was also very pleasant, charming and very fun. The cabin boy Alex really did an amazing job cleaning/ tidying up our room and created fun towel animals we enjoyed. The panga drivers were awesome!! Truly, everyone from Grace were great. Our naturalists (Roberto and Gustavo) were amazing, they were so passionate and enthusiastic. Each time we saw something new, it felt like it was their first time seeing them too because of their excitement. Some suggestions we have: eliminate Italian night. Even though food was good and the tiramisu was exceptional, people can get Italian food anywhere in their own countries. Travelers want to experience more Latin/ Ecuadorian food. Another suggestion would be to add a little bit of music sometimes when we have downtime in the yacht, esp at dinner time, even a background music for entertainment. It gets too quiet sometimes. Last suggestion- to have an option for private table dining. Even though it’s great to socialize and meet people , sometimes you just want do dine with your significant other and don’t feel like entertaining people every single time. Thank you for such an amazing experience we won’t forget. We highly recommend Grace and hope to be back in the future…

It's impossible to write a short review. Our experience on The Grace was PHENOMENAL. That was mostly due to the incredible crew, the amazing OVER-abundance of high-end cuisine (three very full meals each day which you will need for fuel for the non-stop activities), and the expertise of Adventure Life and the "Following Darwin's Footsteps" itinerary. We also got very lucky with the weather (we went at the end of October/early November) and saw dolphins, whales, penguins, flamingos and all of the expected animal life that the Galapagos are famous for. It was so nice to have a captain who was willing to turn that yacht around to chase a pod of dolphins, or to help an ailing passenger. Fully bi-lingual guides with the best sense of humor were the icing on the cake (yay Monica and Walter!). While there might be cheaper ways to see the Galapagos, there are also more expensive ways, and we were so happy that we chose the Grace as it did not disappoint. I recommend the upper-level cabins which were super spacious with amazing views. We did the open-bar beer/wine package and felt it was the right choice for us. Take plenty of Immodium, Dramamine, ASP, whatever, because 50% of our passengers came down with some type of stomach ailment (typical for travelers, not due to the Grace). Overall, this was one of our best trips ever and we would go again for a different tour but would choose the Grace all over again. It was just perfection.
