“Mixed bag-I'm reviewing this product because I got a free sample from Ocado. This was a hit with our 6-year-old who described it as yummy. However, the adults were not as big a fan. I found the smell to be overpowering and somewhat unnatural, that it didn't whet my appetite. The texture was also a little too mushy for my liking (more suited for younger taste buds) and I don't remember Quinola's main range being this soft. However, I agree with the little person that it was flavourful and strong enough that the chicken breast we paired it with didn't need any heavy marinating. On the basis that this is for kids and the kid loved it, it was good so would make for an easy, quick meal.”
“Kids didnt enjoy it-I was sent this to review so gave it to my kids at lunch time. They werent impressed, and the smell (very baby food) put me off trying.”
“Nice idea but not a hit, here!-We got this free, to review it and tried it on it's own and with pitta bread. The kids said they liked the first bite, with pitta but didn't like it on it's own, declaring that they didn't like it at all after that. I wasn't keen either but my husband did like it. We are lucky that we don't struggle to get vegetables into the kids but I can see how it might be a good product if you did. As a fairly healthy, weaning food it might be enjoyed but we won't be getting it again.”
“Healthy and tasty\-ish-I am reviewing this product as I had a free sample from Ocado. This had a mixed response from my children, one really enjoyed it loved the tomato taste and had no complaints texture wise. My other daughter wouldn’t touch it though, she said it smelt too strong, and usually she will give most foods a good go. I think it’s a handy little pouch of quinoa, which, because it’s ready in 1 min, is great if you’ve been out and need to make something quick”
“Good to have in the pantry.-I got this from Ocado to review it. My kids don't really like quinoa but I liked the fact that all ingredients are organic and there is a bit of flavour in it. I would buy it again just in case, I am sure it will come in handy at some point. It is good to have a product like this in the pantry!”
