“There is a lot to like about these shoes. But a few things could be better. I wish Quoc offered half sizes. 45s were way too small, and the 46 fits pretty well but feels maybe 1/4 size too big. I think a 45.5 would be perfect. That said, I haven't yet ridden these longer than 1.5 hours so maybe I'll appreciate the room for swelling feet. The shoes are very comfortable so far, but again hard to know how they will feel on longer rides.
The lace lock system is good holding laces tight but it does make it a bit harder to get the laces really tight before tying them. The tread seems good. On my first ride I was having a hard time clipping into my pedals but I'm not sure if that's old cleats or something about the shoe. I'm used to just stomping and going. TBD on if that's related to the shoe or not. I hope not because I bought these with the intention to race CX and gravel.
Construction and quality appear top notch like many other reviews state. They feel worth the premium price. The included insoles with different arch heights are so much better than what most high end shoes offer. That shouldn't be overlooked. The shoes also come with a longer set of spikes which is also a nice add on, the fact that they come with spikes at all is great.
Aesthetics are great. I don't care that the chalk colour will be hard to clean. Things get dirty.”
