General information

Celebrating the first human space flight and the first watch in space that rocketed with it, the latest Yuri Gagarin commemorative edition is the boldest to date. With dials that draw directly from the watch Gagarin had on his wrist, and a bold, 3D medallion caseback of Gagarin's iconic image, this striking 40 mm, manual-wind timepiece is a must for any collection.
Both the original Third Moscow Watch Factory "Kirova" emblem and the earliest Sturmanskie logo are displayed prominently on every dial. Hand assembled in Moscow, the Poljot 17-jewel movement is over the same caliber as the original. Supplies are limited.

What can I say about this watch other than "wow!" As soon as I saw it, I knew I had to possess it. Of course there is the historical connection, but this watch has so much more--the dial is very clean and legible, and the logos provide points of interest to gaze upon. The PVD case is a lovely color and has great depth. The winding is silky smooth and the watch has kept good time over the week I've had it, plus I just love that it's a hand cranker. Plus, that caseback engraving of Yuri--just plain cool! My one criticism is that the lume isn't superb, but I can easily live with that shortcoming. Highest recommendation!
