“I ordered the AirScreen XT because I was concerned about wind noise from the Thule Windbar Evo crossbars that I was planning to install — noise reduction being the explicit purpose of the AirScreen XT. Right away, the flimsiness of the AirScreen stood out to me — it was a stark contrast to how well all of the other Thule products that I ordered had been constructed. The “zip tie” method of fastening the screen to the front crossbar also made it feel like an afterthought. The straw that broke the camel’s back though was the warning printed in the installation instructions. As a reminder, the sole reason that this air screen exists is to smooth out the airflow for a quieter ride. So it was a little confusing to see a message warning that — because the Windbar Evo is a carefully engineered system designed to minimize noise — the AirScreen XT may actually cause MORE noise. What?! I didn’t end up using it and I would recommend that others do the same.”
