“Although I love the idea of the Exo system, Yakima needs to figure out the top shelf. There is way to much play in the arm. It allows the shelf to bounce way to mouch. I have the bike rack attached and I have to use a rachet strap on the top shelf to keep the bikes from getting totally abused by the constant bouncing”

“works well with no issues, however, the bicycle rack on the top shelf is an issue. Because of the height above the hitch, this increases the bike movement on the rack. I actually received a new bike rack on warranty because of the premature wear on the bar that rests on the front wheel. The rubber was worn significantly from rubbing against the either the frame or front caliper. I was super concerned about my $6000 road bike bouncing around. I was able to reduce the bike movement by purchasing a collar that goes onto the hitch connection to reduce the movement at the hitch.”
