“The bolt is too long and it protrudes too far through the trailer hitch. The protrusion can be cut off with a hacksaw without removing the lock and then the bolt can be unscrewed with a standard wrench. The old-style lock was much more secure since there was no protruding bolt and the lock must be broken off before the bolt can be removed.”

“The Thule lock for my trailer hitch bike rack works great and keeps the rack solidly in the hitch. The design allows to easily lock and unlock with the key under my bumper without having to contort myself under my car.”
