Easy to use. Very sturdy. Good price for a 4 bike rack. I would recommend it.

This is a great Econo 4-bike rack. It's sturdy and easily handles 4 large bikes. Easy to store/mount to a wall out of the way. It can drop down so you can open a rear hatch with bikes loaded. It folds up when not in use. I wanted the bikes to be held from below. Nothing moves even over bumps and dirt roads. I have no fear of driving long distances fully loaded. The econo part does show, however. Not in the quality, but in the features and ease of use. Most notable is that the vertical supports that have the crossbar clamp-downs are not very tall and difficult to manipulate to accommodate all bikes. Bikes may go on, but it could require lots of testing to find the right configuration that works i.e. bike will need to alternate front to back. The types of frames will determine which can be paired with the other that shares a common vertical support. The vertical supports fold down when not in use so that you can fold the whole rack upwards and out of the way, but the vertical support does not lock in the lowest position so the support closest to the bumper may not have clearance to lock and allow folding the rack up without hitting the car so you may have to leave that bar unlock/latched so it'll flop a bit. Also notable, is the hitch bolt insert which is not attached/welded to the frame so it makes positioning difficult when mounting - the workaround is to tape it in place or spot weld. Not sure what they were thinking with this design. They sell the insert separately so clearly they are lost or damaged all the time. The drop-down access works but is heavy when loaded and it's awkward to gain access to the safety locking pin with the bike on. The adjusters are plastic so they will likely go after enough sun, but time will tell. After 2 years, mine are good. There is another model that has vertical hooks instead of looped bars. I'd recommend that instead for ease of loading. Once you figure out a config that works for your bike, take a picture and repeat. I'm happy and feel I got what I paid for. The extra features/convenience will cost you more. You decide what's important to you.

Great quality, and easy to assemble. Cradles are a bit small but ordered larger ones for my 2.6" tires

It's a solid rack, but when stowed the arms protrude toward the bumper. On my Santa Fe, this means that they press and cannot be properly locked in place.

The rack is very good and well done, it is easy to assemble, materials looks very durable and looks like I'm going to have for my whole life. also this is not too big but 4 bikes fit very well. the handles to take the bikes from the frame are quite nice. I'll buy it again.

Received excellent customer service from Chris at the Vaughan location, which was a great way to start off. Assembling this rack was a breeze. The instructions were extremely easy to follow. Once assembled, the rack is a manageable weight (ie. I can move it down stairs and around corners myself without bumping the walls). The first time you mount 4 bikes allow about 30-45 minutes because you have to adjust everything (see all the yellow knobs) so that the bikes interlock well. This only has to be done the first time. After that (ie. for each bike trip), it will only take 5-10 minutes to load up. I have 2 adult mountain bikes + 1 20" mountain bike + 1 16" BMX bike on the rack and the only thing I have to do is rotate one of the adult bike seats 90 degrees due to interference from the handlebars of the next adult bike. This is easy due to having a quick release lever on my seat post. None of the other 3 bikes required any adjustment to fit. One really awesome feature is the ability to fold the rack down with all 4 bikes loaded. I can open the hatch on my MDX if needed. With all the bikes off, the 2 vertical supports fold down so that you can fold the entire rack up against the back of your vehicle. All the yellow knobs, wheel cradles, and ratchet straps are plastic which obviously helps keep the weight down. The quality seems fine. With a lifetime warranty from Saris, I'm not concerned about them over time. I would have no problem recommending this rack to anyone looking for a 4 bike rack solution that will hold various sizes and types of bikes.
