I recently picked up the Yakima rideback 4 bike rack and wanted the able to lock my bikes on the rack. Installation is very easy and everything needed came with the lock. It took about 5 mins to install the lock, it came with a lock core for the bike rack and was very easy to change, having the ability using one key that works the lock and rack is great!!

Easy to install (a matter of minutes) and gives security of being able to lock your bikes on if you will be leaving the vehicle with bikes unattended.

Strong and convenient but could be removed by a clever thief with allen wrench. Def. made for just securing bikes for a few hours (stopping for meals, etc.), not overnight or in bad parts of town.

I like the fact that the cable can be stored inside the Bike rack

The plastic coupling to the mast is not well molded. It took extreme force to press into the opening in order to align the hole for screw tightening.

The lock at the post end does not go all the way into the post. If you push it all the way in, it springs out about 1 inch. Not a big problem.
