“• Easy to mount • Light enough for one relatively fit person to lift— though maybe awkward to mount alone • Clamps and levers are secure, but can be difficult to close if too tight. The solution is simple: loosen knobs 1/4 turn. • Lock is somewhat tricky and won't close entirely if it's obstructed or if the box is too full • Fits on small cars • Mostly easy to load • Opening isn’t huge, but big enough • Tapered shape can be slightly tricky • Big enough that my family of three (with an infant!) could use our GTI for a weeklong trip during the pandemic Rack Attack Boston was also great. I purchased this online during the pandemic, picked it up, and had somebody help me mount it. I appreciate that they waited two (2!) years to ask me to write a review.”

“We love this box. We have used it on several road trips including a ski trip over the past two years and have no complaints. The cargo box is still in great condition despite leaving it out longer than we should under SoCal sun, the locking hardware is still operating smoothly, and the box is very easy to remove from our car. It fit everything that we needed for a family of four and a dog on a recent 3-week, multi-destination trip. The features are designed well -- removal of the box is done from the inside and you can't remove the key until the lid is snapped down all the way. These are probably common security features, but here they are as an FYI. We definitely recommend this item.”

“I like the design, but have some durability concerns. All the decals fell off within a few months, which is not a big deal. What is a big deal is that there appears to be a failure point at the rear hinge where it attaches to the top half. The rivets pulled and cracked the case top.”
