Best roof mount rack I’ve owned with zero frame contact. The rack locks to the roof and the ratcheting tire hook locks the bike to the rack. Make sure you purchase the locks though. The rack also comes will all the extra hardware to allow a secure fit of a fat bike as well.

It’s easy to assemble and install. Once on the car, it’s Rock solid. I trust it with a $4000 bike. There’s no rattling or shifting at all.

The purchase process for the RockyMounts TomaHawk Bike Carrier was simple and quick. I knew which rack I wanted so it made the process easy. Shipping was fast and I'm happy with the rack. I like the fact that the company will confirm if the rack fits your car make and model to prevent purchasing the wrong product.

I have taken the rack out for 2-3 rides so far, so I would consider it still relatively new. It’s a great rack but the trigger to release the slide will often get stuck and it will move freely. It is really hard to un-Jan the trigger too. The swing arm is also very hard to move up and down, which is a minor hassle when loading but gives me peace of mind when on the freeway or bumpy road. Another minor note, the arm barely clears my 29er MTB with Minion DHR II tires. The sticking of the trigger is really annoying and I’m concerned to use it at the moment.
