“The DockGrip Kayak rack grips the boat well once it is in place. The only issue is with the initial placement of the boat as the individual pads tend to "flop" back and forth a bit and often require readjustment in order to secure the kayak. The pads are very grippy which makes for a secure load once in place, but does provide some challenges if you need to slide the boat for best alignment.”

“This is a most excellent carrying system for two ocean kayaks. The boats lay neatly, side by side, on top of the car. This arrangement provides optimal aerodynamics when doing highway speed. Loading and unloading is easy. And, the boats, once strapped down, are absolutely rock solid - they don't move. The value for $$ spent is very high. I'd give this system top marks . . . Ian”

“Very easy to order and quick delivery too. Racks came exactly as ordered. These racks made loading and unloading easy. Changed to the dockgrip setup from the j-racks as the longer 16' and 17' kayaks were acting like sails with the j-rack and were prone to movement depending on the car speed and any cross wind. With the dockgrips all movement has been eliminated and cross winds are not the teeth grinding events they once were. High recommend!”

“Works well. Takes a bit to get the four supports spaced and adjusted on the crossbars with the Kayak on it. But the kayak is secure. I would recomend it.”
