“All other components of a new roof rack were great (I'd rate them 5 stars each), but the cross bars were barely adequate because they were too short to house one (let alone two) Thule Hulavators. It was a supply-chain problem during the pandemic, so the fault is not the dealer. On my Toyota Rav4, there is a Hulavator pair on the driver's side of the car. Because the cross-bars are maybe 2 inches short, I have to put a foam pad against the side of the car to prevent scratches when I lower the Hulavator to take or give my kayak. Ideally, it would have been longer by 2 inches, and by a total of maybe 10 inches longer so that I could have had a Hulavator on both sides of the car. Maybe I should call the dealer and ask if they could replace my 47-inch cross bars with something longer...”
