“Love the rack, however, when it was attached to the frame, there is constant banging from the muffler; I brought the vehicle in twice and was told there wasn't anything that could be done. Obviously, an issue with my vehicle (2013 Subaru Outback), but overall, love the rack.”

“For the most part, I appreciate the Thule Apex XT Bike Rack. I can carry four bikes easily, fits into the hitch smoothly, and has its own internal lock. One of its plastic bike clasps broke within a month of being purchased, and it has proven to be rather heavy to lift and place into the hitch.”

“We actually have the 5 bike rack that we mostly carry 4 bikes with. We've been happy with the rack - no big issues. I don't know that I'd want to carry 5 bikes with it - happy with 4. I don't love the fact that we have to use an adaptor bar for a woman's bike and a child's bike. I do like that it adjusts so that we can open the hatch on the van. That only works when there aren't any bikes on it. This rack has been used on East Coast trips a number of times...”
