“Easy to install on most factory racks, and self-leveling when skis/snowboards are installed. I began having issues with opening mechanism and sliding rails freezing on the way up to the mountain, so I ended up packing a rubber-headed mallet to knock the ice off. I still couldn't get it to open up on occasion, and ended up packing the skis in the car. I could not find any care instructions or guidance from Thule on how to prevent the sliding rail mechanism from freezing up. Very frustrating.”

“Best ski rack I have ever owned. I really like the feature that allows the rack to extend away from the roof so you can easily remove or replace skis on top. The rack is easy to put on and take off. Ski rack locks on to your vehicle as well locking the skis when stored on the rack. The last ski rack I will buy.”

“Thule Snowpack Extender Ski & Snowboard Rack - Black Great piece of equipment, very easy to install love it. The only reason I gave this a 3-5 rating. is because there are 6 lock tumbler inserts on the rack but you only offer 4 lock tumblers in the set. for the money, you pay you need to add an extra 2 lock tumblers. now I have to order more tumblers. other than that i recommed this rack”

Eric, This is Thule's design and they only provide 4 locks with this product. The extra lock spots would be for if you had it on the other side of your car, then the locks would go in those, so you don't have to reach across the car to unlock the item. Thanks, Matt

“Easy to install, and works as intended. The rack extends out so you can get your skis on the rack without having to climb up half way into the roof. Looks good too, that all black matches the black trim and cross rails on my Grand Cherokee Trailhawk.”
