“This is the first Radix meal I’ve ever tried. I brought some of these and a salmon-based meal to check them out. I tried this first one out at home. The first surprise was how it looked when rehydrated. A bit of a mushy brown mess, not looking that appetising. But eating it was a different sort of surprise - tasted fine, there was texture, the falafel pieces and almond slivers gave it some “bite”. It was a satisfying, filling meal and settled nicely on the stomach. All up: a good experience. I guess that the initial look won’t be a problem, I won’t be having any more of my collection at home, and the chances are it will be outdoors and dark when I have the next one - probably trying out the salmon option.”

“I bought a bunch of Radix for a 10 day tramp and not only did I find them more satiating than I expected (I'm a big eater), they all taste of such real flavours! This falafel was my fave - so delicious and you can really taste the quality of the spices. I would love to see some Radix meals with carb other than rice - some pasta or potatoes would be great!”

“This is by far the tastiest freeze dried product for hikers on the market. Minimal water required compared to other brands which was a consideration when packing/weighing for a multi day hike. Loved this meal, really delicious - my friends had other flavours and we all tried each other’s - I’m a convert and won’t be using any other brands again.”
