“When SkyTrak arrived I charged it over nigh and set it up next morning. I use it in my basement with IPad Pro, which I set on a music stand, and a 70 inch TV connected to Apple TV behind the net. Internet is from Xfinity. Small time between shots is not much of a factor. Use an apple Aipport Express to boost WiFi signal. Occasionally Xfinity is goes off and on, but that is an Xfinity issue not SkyTrak. I would buy again. Really has helped with carry vs total distance, checking spin of various balls, and wedge game. I have found SkyTrak distance and dispersion accurate to on course results.”
“I’ve had the Skytrak for a few weeks and am very happy with it. The different challenge and game improvement modes are perfect to gamify every practice session. Range with the green view coupled with spin data, shot tracer makes it fun to dial in your swing. Using skills assessment i discovered real weakness in 120-150 range so spent bunch of time o it and today i shot first round of year under par mostly due to great confidence on approach shots.
Quality wise i am happy with Skytrak with very low number of shots not detected and seems very accurate. Rain or Shine made the buy really simple with quick shipping and nice follow up emails to make sure I’m happy.”
“The device is great. Distance is very accurate. I really like the graphics and the features you get for the $99/yr subscription. I usually use the range but hitting at targets is fun. The only thing about target practice is that the ball doesn't hold when hitting so on the course when i hit my 7 iron 160-165, it may roll up another 0-5 yards. On the Sim, it can roll 10-15 yards farther and now I missed the target. So it's as if you're hitting the club down the fairway. Therefore, i have to put the target 5 yards farther than my carry distance.
Hitting Driver is tricky because the tee is on the edge of my mat. The SkyTrak needs to be at the same height as the mat or it will not register. My one issue is I use it in the evening and even with flood lights, i will not register some of my shots if it's dark. Two nights ago, my shots with the flood lights behind me at setup (i'm lefty), a few shots didn't register. My uncle (righty) hit balls with the lights in front of him and most shots didn't register. Keep in mind this was at night. During the day, i don't experience any missed shots.
All in all, I'm very happy with my purchase. I can hit balls for 20-30 minutes daily in my yard instead of a 20 minute drive each way to the range. Saves hours of my time, money, and gas.”
“I’m very pleased with the SkyTrak unit, there are a few occasional glitches but it works just great 99 shots out of a hundred. The instant feedback on my (miserable) golf swing has helped me get rid of a few bad habits I didn’t know I had. The unit provides extremely useful variety of shot info to help hone your swing. Easy set up for the unit , easily accessible programs to use it, what’s not to like?
Beware though, if you’re anything like me you might catch yourself hitting a few balls and then realizing several hours have gone by while you take “just one more swing” to try to smack the ball a couple more yards…….”
“I expected the product to be good but it's better. If you are on the fence as I was just buy it you'll be happy. As a 3 handicap I'm loving the wedge matrix and bag mapping to fine tune all my yardage. The skytrak has been dead accurate with the irons. The driver takes some playing with to get it reading accurate all the time. Overall I'm very pleased and would highly recommend this product and of course get it at rainorshine golf they offer better customer support than anyone else.”
