“I originally purchased the Ratio eight a few years back when artisans in Oregon were hand making them which was a selling point for me…made in America. I typically defer from buying Chinese products for personal and patriotic reasons. The product is fine in other regards.”
“The ratio six continues to impress us with its quality brews not only with the thermal carafe and paper filters, but using this glass carafe and reusable filter. Having the options provides two unique cups of coffee and experiences. Plus, who can argue with the aesthetics of it sitting on your counter. Another highly recommended product from Ratio.”
“Sadly, and after COVID, the quality of all your materials has suffered greatly. Not only is this my fourth carafe, where the first one I owned broke from a genuinely hard drop, the two before this one cracked with barely a tap.
The same comment on materials is true of your Ratio Eight, of which I’ve possessed at least three units of. Before COVID, the materials were sublime, but now they clearly have been changed to remain good-looking in photos but not nearly as premium in-person.
Sad, considering the prices you charge.”
“The Glass Carafe is basically a better Chemex. I'm not a huge fan of the handle, but it works fine. That's just a preference for me. It has a better pour spout than the Chemex and is a larger vessel overall, so you can comfortably make more coffee in it.”
“We absolutely love our Ratio Handblown Glass Carafe! We were considering an industrial coffee maker to eliminate any plastic components and now have this work of Art!”
