I have been using Baratza grinders for two decades. My two pet peeves with the Baratza grinders are solved with this Fellow Ode grinder. (1) The Ode shuts off automatically when it is done grinding beans. (2) The coffee grind knocker allows me to knock those remaining coffee off the grinder. With the Baratza grinder, I would gently shake the grinder to knock the coffee grinds. Now the Ode grinder has that feature!!! I like the grind consistency on the Ode for my Ratio 8. To minimize static electricity, I use that technique from Ratio's website. Using a teaspoon handle, you mix a couple drops of water with the coffee beans. I highly recommend this grinder!

This grinder is great - it is much quieter than my old grinder. Even better, it collects almost all of the ground coffee so I don't have coffee grounds on my counter and on the machine. once I found the correct setting, the coffee tastes great.

It’s a beautiful addition to my coffee station. Works as well as I had hoped. I typically grind 54 grams to use in my ratio 6. Dialing in the right grind size was not hard. There was initially a problem with flying grinds and some mess.I started slightly wetting a spoon handle and stirring the beans before grinding. things are now neat and tidy. For the first two weeks I’m more than happy.

Best grinder I've ever used. Built like a tank, grind consistency is excellent. Super quiet and extremely quick. Great addition to my setup. I brew on a Ratio 8 and this pairs perfectly with it.

For a grinder to use with my Ratio 8, the Ode is a marriage made in Heaven. It is quiet, small, well made, ingenious - and produces a wonderful grind. Ratio 8, Ode Brew grinder, Hawaiian coffee = morning glory.

It is quick. You still need to swivel a wet finger in you beans to keep from getting static electricity on you grounds, but you need a separate cup to do this in before pouring the beans into the grinder.
