The quality of the coffee brewed was excellent, but it not the warmest. I like how the components come apart for cleaning & storage. It was a bit of an experiment calculating the amount of coffee needed for a pot.

The ratio 4 coffee brewer is a morning routine game changer! It's almost too easy. The separate water resovoir is genius. No more spilling water all over the coffee machine. I prep the coffee in the evenings and all I have to do when I wake up is walk into the kitchen and hit the brew button. And four minutes later I have an incredible cup of coffee. And I have a cup leftover to take to work in my travel mug so I don't have to stop at the big green mermaid anymore. If you're a single person like me it's honestly the perfect coffee setup. Saves me time in the mornings and it's already saved me a ton of money. My only complaint is the coffee isn't as hot as other brewers I owned in the past but that one small negative is greatly outweighed by all the positives of the Ratio 4.

It was for my husband. He loves it. It’s perfect for our temporary stays in apartments while we deal with his cancer treatment. Also small enough he can take it with home whenever he goes. He’s one armed and he’s able to manage making his own coffee! Bonus!

I've only used this for about a week but so far, so good. I have been a French Press user for many years, as I like a heavy bodied cup of coffee. However, after finding out that coffee prepared without a paper filter can increase one's bad cholesterol (LDL) levels, I decided to switch to a drip method with a paper filter. I chose the Ratio 4 because it is right-sized for a single person who only drinks one or two cups of coffee daily, it is SCA-certified to brew at the correct temperature to maximize extraction and it brews more quickly than my old method of using a french press. I am surprisingly pleased at the quality of the brew with this machine. I thought I'd miss the heavier body of the french press coffee, but the Ratio 4 yields a delicious brew with subtle nuances that I didn't notice using the french press method. What's more, the removable water chamber is really nice and makes it so easy to fill using the filtered water from the 'fridge. I'm really happy that I chose this machine to replace my 15-year french press routine and highly recommend the Ratio 4!

The coffee it makes is good, the water tank is a little small, the touch button is obnoxious. The carafe doesn't stay warm, needs a thermal carafe and it didn't come with any filters, which is just weird and a missed marketing opportunity.

My wife and I decided to elevate our at-home coffee game and chose the Ratio Four. The difference has been immediate, the coffee is more flavorful, balanced, and genuinely better than any other machine we’ve tried. My only wish is that the coffee stayed hotter a bit longer in the carafe. I understand avoiding a traditional heating plate to prevent overcooking the coffee, but I’d love to see a more insulated or thermal carafe option. I know some of the other models offer an insulated carafe as an add-on accessory, and having that option here would make it even better. Overall, it’s an excellent coffee maker and we’d absolutely recommend it.

In terms of quality of making my coffee? 5 stars. My only real issue is the start button is still way too sensitive (even in this updated version of the Ratio 4). I touch it by mistake and it starts up. But the coffee is great, and very consistent, so I'm still giving it 5 stars.
