“these are way better quality (mostly due to the shape) than the filters that were boxed with my ration 6. These are great--lightweight but sturdy. I don't have to worry about the flopping over like the ones that came with my machine.”
“Nothing helps me accessorize my ratio six quite like the ruffly frills of laboratory grade paper.
In all seriousness, I’m pleased with the lack of paper taste and quality pores of the paper. You can compare and contrast coffee filters by seeing how much resistance they add the the brew bed- best case scenario is nearly no resistance. These are close to this place- which leads to a more uniform extraction.
Should they be about twice the cost of other filters? Probably not. But I work for a manufacturing business and scale matters a lot for things like this- I’m sure they just can’t move volume at this point to get the price further down. .10 a pop to ensure I get the best extraction I can is a price I’m happy to pay.”
