“I’m afraid this one on loan was broken. It leaked from the bottom and most of the time the start button to begin brewing didn’t work. We sent it back and will just wait for our Eight to be returned after it is repaired.”
“What’s important in a coffee maker? Coffee quality, life of the coffee maker or customer service? Our nine year old Ratio 8, one of the originals, looks great, makes wonderful coffee, and Ratio has stood by its repair promises every time. And what other company supplies a loaner maker, free of charge, while repairs are done? The loaner Ratio 6, makes hotter, stronger coffee, is easy to use, but less elegant than the 8. It could do with a better lid, but otherwise is well designed. Ratio, keep up the excellent service, and continuous improvement.”
“Ok guys, the loaner six is glitchy and unreliable. I want to LOVE your machines but I currently own a six and an eight that I am in the process of packaging them up to return to you for repairs AGAIN. My eight failed in six months after being serviced by you because it failed twice now. Please please please improve the reliability of your machines. Then I will sing your praises from the roof tops. For now I am sadly very disappointed”
“The Ratio 6 makes a great cup of coffee. The only reason for not giving it a 5 star rating is the design of the coffee pot lid. It needs some work so pouring a cup of coffee doesn’t leak coffee. Hope this makes sense.”
“Loaner is good, makes coffee quickly and well. Build quality is definitely different from the ratio 8, however. I do like that so far it has been reliable.”
