“Looks amazing and brews fantastic coffee with flat bottom filter for the standard set-up as well as in pour-over format with chemex filter and carafe - love my new Ratio 6!”
“This is a fabulous drip coffee maker. It is sturdy and heavy, but does not take up a lot of counter space. It makes great coffee, because the temp of the water coming out of the shower head is 208 degrees. It drips into a stainless carafe, with a temp of 178 degrees and holds the temp well. I had a good experience with customer service. All in all, this is a well built machine that does a good job.”
“This is the most expensive coffee maker I've ever purchased, but it's worth it. The elevated quality of my coffee is tangible, is truly discernible.
Buy the best, freshest beans, use the best tasting water, grind the beans evenly with a conical burr grinder, use the coffee to water ratio that works for you (I'm between 16 and 18 water to 1 coffee) and let this machine do its magic.
Keep the water tank cleaned and descaled, don't use the carafe to refill water and don't introduce oils into the tank, and keep the carafe clean.
The best coffees are getting more and more expensive. Get the absolute most out of it with the best system, the best hardware.”
“I am very pleased with the exchange of my ratio 8 for the 6. The six is more user friendly, easier to clean and keeps my coffee warm!
The ratio 8 started chipping by the shower head due to condensation. The six has a smart design with the sleeve enclosing the shower head minimizing condensation.
I also like the tray you included for setting the used filter.
Thank you Devine for working with a very dissatisfied customer, now converted to happy.
Looking forward to my refund for the 8.”
“The Ratio Six is expensive but worth it. It’s a beautiful piece to sit on your kitchen counter especially if you get the glass carafe. The coffee is great...if...you can get the ratio right. (No pun intended). It took many tries to get find the right grind to water ratio. I was on the verge of returning it but finally decided not to listen to the suggestions in the instructions and use my own judgment.”
“The company and the machine itself and the coffee it makes is great, but the thermal carafe is its weakness. Coffee just doesn't stay hot enough after 30-45 minutes. It lasts a little longer if you preheat the machine by running a short water-only cycle before the actual brew, but this is a waste of both power and water, and I shouldn't have to do this to get an acceptable amount of longevity out of my coffee. I am using the collar, haven't tried brewing without as this should only make it cooler. The carafe also doesn't pour well, but that's hardly a concern when compared to the lack of thermal performance.”
