Very happy so far! We had a nice coffee maker so I didn't expect any change with the Ratio Six, but both my wife and I were very pleasantly surprised that the coffee actually tastes better with the Ratio Six. I think it the "bloom" step in the brewing. So we have the great aesthetics of the coffee maker along with a very nice tasting coffee.

What a terrific machine! I am so impressed by the build quality and design of my new Ratio Six. For years I’ve made myself espresso in the morning with my manual Profitek machine, I grind my own beans...you might say I’m fairly exacting when it comes to my coffee. I decided to get the Ratio Six because I like to change up the flavor profile of my coffee, not only with the bean, roast, cultivar, etc. but with the brew method as well. I did try the mocha master by technvorn which was disappointing, the coffee was sour and under extracted. Ratio Six pre-blooms the grounds which takes care of this problem. The coffee is smooth and fully flavored. I am really enjoying this beautiful machine. Thank you!

I purposely waited four months to author this review as to not give a snap shot of what was seen but rather a review based on day to day experiences. The ratio six make an excellent cup of morning glory. I can say without reservation the ratio six makes coffee the way it is meant to be enjoyed. I bought the coffee maker as certified refurbished. Originally my goal was to purchase a coffee maker made in American. My pros and cons are as follows PROS - Excellent coffee. Hands down the best cup of coffee. Very pleased. - Excellent design both in looks and functionality. The ratio six is a very clean machine. The design affords the user the opportunity to keep things simple and clean. No coffee grounds, spillage, leakage from poor function. Its a simple machine and I like the ease of use. This area could be a 10 star review. So many of my past experiences with makers has been troublesome operations due to design, the ratio six has solved the dilemma. CONS -The carafe is very average at keeping coffee hot. If the coffee sits for any moderate length of time I usually have to heat it up in the microwave. The silver finish on the carafe handle has been pealing off for sometime now. The durability was short lived. It does not go in the dishwasher, we tend to rinse only, wash by hand as needed. - My maker tend turn to off mid brew. A minimum two to three times per week the pot just shuts down mid brew. I go in to find a half filled carafe. I just start it back up but when your ready for coffee its not what you prefer. - Manufactured in China.. The ratio eight is made in Portland. The ratio six is a China product.. My original goal was to purchase an American made coffee maker. I found a comparison chart on the ratio website after purchasing the six. I will evetually go with the ratio eight simply because it an American product.. In conclusion the ratio six makes a great cup of coffee. I would rather not have the inconveniences at 4:30 a.m. of it turning off unexpectedly and warm coffee but at the end of it all, the great taste wins out...

Ken, Thank you for the detailed review! So glad to hear you're enjoying the coffee. The machine stopping mid brew is not acceptable and qualifies for a warranty replacement! The same goes for any finish issues like you describe. We will contact you to arrange a complimentary replacement. Thank you again!

I’ve been brewing delicious cups of coffee with my Ratio Six for over four months now. The Six is straightforward, easy to use, and makes a statement on my countertop. It, coupled with the Baratza Encore, have really elevated my coffee game during Covid. The reason I took off a star (wish it could 4.5 instead of 4) is the carafe. It does keep coffee hot for a very long time! I’ll give it that. Unfortunately, it’s a less than ideal pour (even tipped all the way as others have noted), has a requisite final drip or two that’ll run down the side, and it’s a challenge to get all that tasty coffee out. Lastly, this may be unique to mine, but if tipped over accidentally, it leaks from the sides. Oh - and try as I might, coffee seems to remain stuck in the lid of the after cleaning, which makes me a bit concerned about mildew growing around or beneath the o-ring. The short of it is - the Ratio Six is an amazing coffee maker, hands down. And given the quality materials, minimalist features, and 5 year warranty, you can expect thousands of coffee shop quality cups in the future. You’ll just have to live with the finicky carafe for now.

Christopher, Thank you for the detailed feedback! We'd like to get you a new thermal carafe and lid, as it sounds like there might be an issue with yours. We will contact you directly to arrange this. There is a lid on the bottom of the thermal carafe lid which can be removed temporarily to eliminate any water or coffee inside, and can be left off until it's completely dry inside. Thank you!

I really, really love this machine. It is really easy to use, it makes a really great cup of coffee and the carafe keeps the coffee hot! Like another review, the only thing is that the black on black matte carafe has chipped a bit, exposing the silver underneath. I think the thermal carafe with the dripper will solve for this as the glass carafe likely won't retain the heat of the coffee as long.
