Just made my first brew with the 6, and I'm BLOWN AWAY. the unboxing experience, and fit and finish, the sounds and smells of the brewing process, simply amazing. Thank you so much for bringing this to market.

The Ratio 6 makes a great cup of coffee. My manual pour-over process, something near and dear to my heart, has been happily exchanged out for the faster, more consistent Ratio 6. Its simplicity in function and design makes it very attractive and fun to use. I love the ability to make one cup, or eight, depending on the occasion. I especially like how quickly it engages with hot water, taking no more time than necessary to complete the brewing process. It keeps the water at the right temperature throughout, and there is very little heat loss. The biggest issue I’ve noticed is how the rubber ring at the top of the heat shield clips against the shower head when the user removes the carafe tower. This movement is made when the coffee is ready, thus the ring has water clinging to the sides, resulting in hot water splashing outward. I remedy this by placing my hand in front of the opening when removing the carafe and brew basket. Hot water splashes against my hand instead of going everywhere, but it begs a better design solution (the lip around the base is ultimately the reason the rubber ring hits the shower head when sliding out). I have small kids who love to help brew, and this issues makes me hesitant to let them stand too close. Another issue is the sloppy pouring ability of the carafe. Not unusable, but a noticeable annoyance. Overall, the Ratio 6 feels on the verge of genius, and I’m eager to try the next design iteration. In the meantime, it is my first choice for making coffee at home.

Love it! Delicious coffee plus an easy but satisfying brew process. I upgraded from a traditional automatic drip and the improvement in taste is remarkable.

We went from the Nespresso to the Ratio Six hoping for a hot cup of coffee that didn't require us to heat up the cup and the cream. The Ration Six has definitely made life easier. The only reason for the four stars is in my case - I have to pull the machine out to pour in the water at the back of the unit and when I push the machine back I undoubtedly hit the very sensitive ON button before I have coffee in the filter and everything ready.

Brewed coffee is fabulous: full body, smooth not bitter. Machine itself is bigger/taller than most stand alone's, so be prepared for it to take up more counter space. I'm the only one drinking coffee, so I wish there was a smaller version, like a 2-6 cup, which would also solve the bigger/taller issue for me as well.

The Ratio Six makes the most delicious, hot coffee. The machine is beautiful, and looks amazing on my kitchen counter. The carafe pours perfectly and keeps the coffee warm. The filter basket and shield above it are lovely and fit together so well. After brewing, the machine is clean with only a little condensation. The Ratio Six is perfect and every detail was obviously taken into consideration when building this coffeemaker. I did have a question and customer service is amazing! Compared to all the other coffeemakers I have used over the years, this is far superior!!

This is a follow up from my previous review as we received our production versions of the Ratio Six earlier this week. We had been testing, and loving, the prototype but had to score it 4/5 due to some outstanding issues. The question is had the issues been addressed and the answer is...yes! The following points were ones which I brought up as prototype issues, with updated comments: - The shower head needs a little more fine tuning as it doesn’t entirely saturate the bed all of the time. The shower head pattern has been adjusted and, so far, we have seen improved saturation of the entire coffee bed. - The plastic finish looks more suited to a cheaper coffee brewer but this is due to this being ‘straight out of the tool’ - basically raw plastic. All of the plastics now have a matte finish and look, and feel, super high quality. - There could occasionally be more condensation on the brew head than I would like during brewing (the heat shield has another positive effect of eliminating this). Condensation has been reduced without the heat shield but, with the head shield attached, it's minimal. The heat shield seal has also been reduced in height making it easier to slide in to the brew column. - The carafe keeps the coffee hot but I’d like the pour to be smoother. Compared to other thermal carafes, especially when getting emptier, it’s as good, but I’d love it to be better. The carafe pour is more than acceptable but could still be improved a little. - Some of the joints weren’t perfect but that’s to be expected in this version. Fit and finish of the machine is to an exceptionally high standard - it looks so good! The matte stainless, along with the updated plastic finish, makes the Six look amazing and premium. We have had the Six in the showroom for 3 days now and everyone who comes in is drawn to it immediately - and the quality of the coffee is so good! Does it replace the Eight as our daily brewer? The Jury is still out but maybe we'll just have to use both: we drink a lot of coffee :)
