“I’m on the second one. The first one was producing an uneven bed from the shower head. I called Ratio and explained the issue. They had me send them a video of the shower head and after further review they sent me a new one under warranty. I’m saying this because don’t settle for uneven coffee extraction, call them if your beds aren’t comically out flat and they ‘ll replace it. Thanks”
“It’s only been a couple of weeks. So far so great! It seems to be made with quality materials, easy to use. I like that it is designed as a pour over and the coffee is as good as what I was getting from my Chemex which was delish.”
“I’ve been eyeing these machines for years. This year I finally did it! It’s so aesthetically pleasing to the eye, and it makes great coffee. The thermal carafe is perfect for when I have friends over and want a large pot available. Love this machine!”
“4.5*
The ratio brewer makes an excellent cup of coffee. Perfectly wet grounds, temp, and extraction time. The only downside was the carafe lid, which must have been faulty, but others online noted the same. That said, customer service was excellent and sent me a new lid and I've had no issues since. Had there been a bit of quality control on the lid, I would have given 5 stars because of how well it makes coffee of any quantity.”
“After using the Ratio Six for a month or so after our old Bonavita unit stopped heating, the Ratio Six does make a great pot of coffee. Functionally it works extremely well and the build quality is excellent. That said, a several small design gripes that have nothing to do with the quality of the coffee work: first, the cord connects to the unit in an awkward way so there is always a kink in the cord at the unit. Secondly, the start button is very sensitive - touch capacitive - and can get triggered when the unit is moved. Finally, the button location at the end of the unit is an odd placement since you need to fill the unit when it is perpendicular to you and then always repostion by 90 degrees so that one can see the “on” button to start the process. Maybe there was an engineering reason to put it there. Anyway, lots of moving around of a fairly heavy unit is required and then careful not to brush against the start button! If it wasn’t for these shortcomings, the rating would have been higher. It’s hard to know the engineering challenges and the reason for these decisions which the Ratio folks went through but it makes a great pot of coffee and cleans up great. No regrets on the purchase all things considered. Hoping these minor items get fixed on the next version.”
