The product is very well made and makes exceptional coffee. I did a taste test using my old coffee maker and I was very surprised how the same coffee can taste so much better. The carafe keeps the coffee hot for hours and the wider hole makes cleaning easy. The bonus is how sleek it looks on my countertop.

There is definitely a learning curve with the machine. It is unlike others. The coffee does not get as hot as we like and the thermos does not hold the heat well. The rubber components seem like they will fail and also splash coffee around from the filter and the thermos. The on/ off button is very sensitive and we have loaded the coffee at night for the morning and inadvertently turned it on with a light touch and it brews. You then have to unplug it to stop the brewing process. I guess it is acceptable. But seems like it is not worth the money.

I do like the maker. I am pleased with the coffee, and the way the thermal carafe keeps the coffee hot. The only issue with the machine itself is that the power cord does not seat well in the base of the unit and comes loose if the unit is shifted.

Like others, I love the way my new Ratio 6 looks, and the coffee is delicious! Less obvious until you use it, is the design, and build quality. For example, it is easy after each pot to rinse all the parts that come in contact with coffee so that every pot is as good as the first!

Compared to the Ratio 8 this one feels “cheap” but of course it is anything but. The carafe is flawed. I use my Ratio 8 glass carafe. The Ratio 6 thermal carafe is almost impossibe to pour without spilling. The flat bottom filter basket did not work at all for me. Tried grinding all the way up to a 6.25 with a Fellow Ode and still the brew would not drip quick enough such that it always overflowed the filter. This is with 56 grams of coffee. That is the second reason I went to the glass carafe. I expected much better.

The coffee pot is beautiful! The coffee tastes good and it is hot. The plug in the back of the pot has to continually be readjusted to work properly. The button on the front either doesn’t always work or the back plug isn’t in right. Very expensive coffee pot to have these issues.

Lots of help and patience before the sale but not after. Without their brand of filters the coffee hopper would still have water in it when the cycle was done, tried three different brands of filters, the only ones that worked properly were the ones that came with the maker. Called, got excuses, no answers, advice on grinds and other useless info, you’d think they would offer me some free or discounted filters after $345, but no, I could get them for $11+$9 shipping for 100. Brought it back, should be much easier and fun to use, took them 10 days to issue a refund. When I purchased mine I sent a second ratio 6, at great expense to my brother in Hawaii, that one won’t even turn on. Too much money, very glitchy, too hard to use and horrible customer service after the sale, Never again, tell your friends…
