“The carafe keeps the coffee hot and is easy to clean. I have 2 suggestions: 1) seal the exterior of the carafe so that you can immerse it in water and not have water get trapped in the bottom, and 2) design the lid so that it can be thoroughly cleaned without trapping water inside.”
Hello Mary! We have a new Series 2 carafe that has no moving parts and doesn't have a chamber that can trap water. We still don't recommend fully submersing the thermal carafe, but you can easily clean the inside with the large opening. Check your email for a special offer from us to upgrade your carafe.
“I learned not to heat up the carafe on the stove. Just because the sides are stainless steel does not mean the bottom is. Plastic does NOT do well on the hot stove.
