“It makes good coffee, but the carafe lid broke easily (it’s now broken in three places in less than a year without any unusual use - just normal daily, one pot per day use) and I can’t get anyone to respond to me from the company about getting a new lid. They have replacement lids for sale on the website but are sold out. For what this thing cost, I am very dissatisfied.”
“This thing makes absolutely amazing coffee - both iced and hot. But the carafe system that comes with it has some design issues. Hot water splatters all over you when you pull the assembly away from the machine. (I’ve developed a habit of blocking the splatters with the cloth that comes with the Six; maybe that’s why they included it :) Also, even with the new lid/pouring spout the thermal carafe has the most inelegant pour, and that’s putting it nicely. I purchased the hand-blown glass carafe and that experience is now SO much nicer!”
“Love it! I love the look of this coffee maker (the white looks so cool) & it makes excellent coffee. The carafe keeps the coffee hot for several hours. I’d read some reviews that complained about the heat shield catching on the shower head when removing the carafe/filter after brewing & splashing water, but I haven’t had any problems with it. My only complaint is that the flat filter basket often has residual coffee in it after brewing but I just shake it gently to get it all into the carafe. Overall I’m really happy with the Ratio Six.”
