“There’s so much to love about the Ratio Six, it’s super sleek, high quality material and manufacturing, brews a great cup of coffee. That being said, for a specialty coffee maker there are a couple functionality issues:
1. It would be nice if the brew basket didn’t have to be set aside in the drip tray after the pot is done brewing; there’s a lot of pieces to keep clean and organized (drip tray, brew basket, heat ring, carafe lid, etc.)
2. Every time I pour from the carafe coffee spills everywhere! I’m not sure if it’s a design flaw with the lid, or the shape of the spout on the carafe, but it’s admittedly quite frustrating.”
Hey Michael! Thanks for your feedback. For the filter basket, we had some designs where it was inserted into the coffee maker with brackets like on many home coffee makers, but we did not like the aesthetics. We've found that once people use the drip catcher to hold the filter basket a few times, it becomes second nature. For pouring, we recommend tipping the thermal carafe over before opening the pour spout. Hope this helps!
