“This coffee maker makes the most delicious auto coffee I have tasted. As good as pour-over or French press! Simple, push the button. Beautiful on my counter. I love to watch the water bubble up through the center as it brews. My best ratio for flavor I like is 1 to 1. Definitely get the filters that go with it, as store-bought ones are too short and collapse during brewing. I purchased an extra thermal carafe so when I have a larger group we can be drinking one while the other is brewing. My only complaint is that the lid is hard to unscrew, but it seals well and keeps the coffee hot for a long time.”
“Aesthetically, it's perfect. Functionally, not great. I still have to heat it before I make coffee. It just doesn't hold the heat for more than 10 minutes. I only make 16 oz of coffee, so maybe that's the problem.”
“While I love the coffee maker itself, I am now on my second carafe; I had to replace the first one because it dripped green oxidized coffee days after cleaning and drying, and because the lid doesn’t pour without spurting and leaking on the counter top. My new carafe doesn’t leak old green fluid anymore, but still leaks water a day or two after drying. The new lid is exactly like the old one; it cannot be used for pouring, meaning I have to remove it every time I want to pour more coffee. And the carafe itself has a mediocre pour that has to be done slowly or it will splatter.
What the carafe does very well is keep coffee warm, and it looks nice.
Overall, despite a great coffee maker, the carafe / lid experience would make me hesitate before recommending the Ratio Six to others.”
