Excellent coffee, easy to use. I will buy the Eight’s thermal carafe when it is on sale as this carafe’s pouring functionality leaves a lot to be desired. After the first couple cups, it’s like trying to get water out of an old car tire.

Loving my refurbished Ratio Six, basically perfect. Gone through a few coffee makers and I'm really happy with this one, easy to use, makes a consistent cup. Actually had a Behmor Connected brewer before this which I loved but the heating element went out, so happy this has the 5 year warranty. Worth every penny!

Very sleek design and makes a great cup of coffee. I do wish there was a sound played when you started the brew cycle and when it ended. I also find the many loose accessories like lid for water, thermal gasket, carafe lid, and brew basket holder a bit cumbersome to handle and find real estate for on the counter when I'm making a batch, but I am learning how to manage them all. If the longevity is truly there, then I think I'll be very happy with it.

This was a gift for my son who is a coffee snob. He reports that his Ratio machine provides the most consistently good coffee he has had in a machine yet. He likes the ease of use and also said that the brewing noise is “weirdly pleasing”. Not exactly sure what that means with the noise, but favorable comments from my son are high praise indeed.

Would have been 5 but the carafe is disappointing. It doesn't pour smoothly. The little white stopper doesn't open properly or seat well.

I used to be a a big pour over guy, but now that I have my Ratio Six my Hario gear is in the garage. I've not owned any other high-end coffee makers that simulate pour over, but I've seen quite a few reviews on youtube of the Moccamaster, Bonavita, and others, and one thing I've gleaned from that is that, apparently, getting the water to come out of the shower head evenly is not that easy. I saw a test of the Moccamaster where water only came out of three holes. That was the first thing I wanted to see when I bought my Six, and I was happy to see that they've nailed it--the water comes out absolutely evenly and when the brew is done the grounds are as even and flat as my kitchen floor. Add to that the obvious quality construction and--I have to say it--sleek looks, and Ratio has a real winner here. I love it. My days are often hectic right from the get-go, and on those days there's no time to fool with pour over. Now I can have my pour over every.damn.day.

I've had the opportunity to use this coffee maker for a a little bit now. I really want to love this coffee maker, but the coffee carafe/pot is not enjoyable to use. My wife absolutely hates how it pours and it's just ackward to say the least. I've read some similar comments in other reviews, but didn't think to much about it. I've requested a refund, but haven't heard back from Ratio yet on my request.

Hello Christopher, Sorry to hear you did not like the way the carafe pours! Have you tried tilting it over before opening up the pour spout? This can make for a nicer stream of coffee right into your mug. We have replied to your request and you are able to return it under our 30 day "love it" guarantee. Let us know what else we can do to help!
