“Got a six on loan while my eight was being serviced. It’s a great machine, just as capable as my eight. Doesn’t look/feel as premium as the eight, but makes great coffee.”
“Pro: The coffee stays hotter in the 6 than it does in the 8.
Con: The #4 filter works but you can never get it to sit just right in the holder. When you put the top on the filter, you have to be careful that the filter doesn’t bend.”
“We find that using the basket is much more cumbersome we have actually started to use the R8 porcelain basket by just setting it on the R6 carafe. other than this its is very similar to our R8. 1 huge plus is that this carafe although not a stylish does a much better job of keeping our coffe hot for longer.”

“Nice machine and i prefer this thermal carafe to the one we have for our Ratio 8. A bit wonky with the thermal sleeve for the drip phase, but it does keep the water hotter. Don’t love the flat bottom filters.”
“I would give it a three, the R8 being a five and the technivorm being a four. The filter holder on the six is a bit difficult to figure out and get cumbersome to use. So I used the glass carafe from the R8 instead of the spray head sprays water outside the glass carafe coffee quality is good.”
