“We found the Ratio 6 to be of very high quality materials and workmanship, not like a lot of other overpriced lightweight plastic models manufactured in China. The operation is straightforward, simple in fact. Just hit one button to start the bloom and brew process.
. We didn’t change the type or grind of coffee from our old machine, yet The first sip of coffee from the ratio 6 was a pleasant surprise - not bitter, but we’ll balance and just the right temperature.
The only complaint is the numerous parts you have to assemble to brew, and then disassemble once the coffee is ready. Specifically you have to take the brew basket and additional “heat ring”, for lack of a better term, off the coffee pot and put them to drain on the round receptacle provided with the Ratio 6. Then you screw on the pouring lid. Not a big deal, but somewhat unorthodox. and takes getting used to. But overall, we give the Ratio 6 high marks for a robust and smooth cup of coffee at a perfect temperature with a carafe that also holds the coffee at a good temperature for a long time. The product quality is exceptional and well made.”
“I used to be a Keurig junkie when I knew absolutely nothing about coffee. Over the years I've upgraded from that to better machines. My last was a Cuisinart that also had a burr grinder. it was light years ahead of my Keurig days.
I've now gone to the other end of the spectrum and bought one of the most expensive machines on the market. And it's one of my best decisions (other than marrying my wife, of course)! The coffee is awesome! Hot (I like hot coffee) and flavorful. The broom feature makes full use of the beans flavor as well as the simulated pour over technique. Of course, you still need a good grinder and did I mention the Beans! Please do not purchase this machine and use tap water with ground coffee from Publix.
The machine itself is a work of art. It looks great resting on our kitchen counter. Easy to clean. The carafe keeps my coffee hot for a few hours. Which is super helpful because I like a cup after my morning run.
Well worth the investment! Thank you Ratio!!!”
“Awesome coffee maker, overall I love the quality and finish. My only negative comment is that the grounds basket is plastic, one of the most critical components to be metal as this is where the hot coffee sits the longest, and the geometry makes it difficult to clean. Over-time the plastic absorbs stale coffee smells. I'd love to see them get creative and develop an all metal filter basket similar to a Kalita or commercial drip brewer.”
“Great coffee maker. I was having issues with the power supply (very loose and would disconnect mid-brew), but their customer service representative was able to replace it with a new cord for free.”
