Seems like a quality machine thus far and you get very used to the process of making coffee with the various pieces that are involved. Ratio's guidance for water:coffee ratios are a great start but I recommend a decent scale to get the numbers spot on. My only complaint is the water level indicators do not align with the documentation in terms of ounces, so without a scale you are left guessing a bit.”

“Wanted to love machine but coffee from it lacked flavor. Increasing the amount of coffee ground used by 50% (which, btw, affects 'price' of unit), the color increased (and it seemed like caffeine also) but flavor was still substantially weaker than from my cone filter apparatus (at normal coffee ground amount). Two other users had exact same reaction. Seems like the flat bottom filter is main problem.”
