“While smaller than the 8, still significant presence in small kitchen. Fits with compromises. Black finish scratches easily but for now scratches confined to where the pot sits. Thermal carafe doesn’t hold heat as long as expected. Glass-lined thermal carafe I used before Ratio 6 did better.
On up side brews consistently good coffee when good coffee used with much less fuss than my french press. Not much different in size from comparable quality alternatives. 5-year warranty and available servicing a plus.
Suggest not using Melitta filters as side walls too short. Bunn brand filters are taller and drain a wee bit quicker so grounds don’t overflow filter. Still great coffee.”
“High quality, makes good coffee, looks great. One main problem is the bloom step adds too much water and is relatively continuous with the rest of the brew -- I think it would be better if the bloom step barely wet the grounds and waited ~45 seconds before adding more.”
“Absolutely love it! I understand the use of the magnet but I also own a chemex and it would be nice to brew into that if I didn’t want to use the thermal carafe. I have to add a magnet to under my chemex to do this.
I love the machine in and out regardless. A learning curve having to take off the filter basket as most machines, they are secured to the rest of the unit.
Nonetheless I am super happy I bought it and have no regrets. I use it every single day. A real time saver in the morning! The thermal carafe is great that I don’t have to worry about my coffee being cold or I can brew some for the later risers in the house.”
“This rating based on first week of playing with Ratio Six, especially as I tend to only brew 2-4 cups at a time. Still experimenting with amount of coffee for my taste. But the coffee is so pure in its taste, no burned flavor, very smooth at whatever strength I make it.
It’s a machine & a morning ritual I think I’m going to love.”
“Execution of pour over quality coffee - Excellent!
Defective design of carafe - Very poor. Even when you tip it (as directed) to keep it from spilling everywhere it still spurts out all over the place, 8 out of 10 times. It’s almost unusable. I believe there are issues with the plunger in the lid. Love the coffee, hate the carafe.”
“I make a really subtle and delicious pot of coffee. It's a striking looking machine as well. Only knock is that the power cable is very loose and difficult to hold in place. Can sometimes take a couple of attempts to get it to turn on. That said the coffee produced is excellent.”
Hey Victor! Just a quick check if you've pushed the power cord in until you hear a click? It should connect snugly. Let us know if this doesn't address it!
