Elegant, simple, fun to use. Being a French Press coffee drinker for many years, I'm still experimenting with the coffee to water ratio with the Ratio Six. I'm also waiting for the Baratza burr coffee grinder that I ordered from you so I can more accurately factor in the coarseness of the grind. I use a scale to measure the coffee in grams. Part of the fun is that I'm setting up a truly scientific coffee laboratory so that when I do hit upon the perfect balance of water-weight-coarseness it will be repeatable. The biggest difference I notice so far is that the coffee I make in the Ratio Six stays the same in the carafe until its finished whereas the French Press coffee got too strong and bitter by the end. I'm also looking forward to using the laboratory grade paper filters I ordered from you. Don't get me wrong the coffee is good already but I suspect it can become great once I have all the tools and play around with it.

The performance is very predictable which allows you to really tune the grind and amount of beans to achieve your perfect cup of coffee.

The Ratio Six is easy to use, consistent, and makes great coffee (if you've got good ingredients). I only make 4 "cups" at a time on the machine – which I've measured as being ~730 ml of water to take it to the 4 cup mark on the water reservoir. Right now I'm grinding 45 g of coffee to go alongside that and have been getting good results. Interactions with the machine are generally great – it's easy to push the machine around on the counter when I need to get to the water reservoir. The separate filter basket and carafe aren't as finicky as I thought they'd be – in fact, it's a nice reminder to clean them when you have all of the pieces separated on your counter. The one-touch button start works well and keeps the interface clean. The only gripe I've occasionally had is that the water intake hole is a bit narrow when you're dispensing water into it. Overall I'm glad that I purchased this over the Breville Precision Brewer – it's simple and looks great on the counter. Buy it now while the holiday pricing is in effect, and make sure you've got a great grinder to go alongside it!

It is easy to use, does not take up too much counter space, and we are enjoying delicious coffee. I am impressed that there is a 5-year warranty.

We don’t love the way the rubber piece at the top of the filter holder goes in. Would love to exchange for the Ratio Eight

It's beautiful and consistently makes delicious coffee, even at the 2-cup setting. The carafe does a great job of keeping the coffee hot. One star deducted for a handful of usability bugs. It feels as though the designers made a clever and beautiful thing, and then moved on. I got a sympathetic ear from Ratio support, but the bugs are not fixable.
