Excellent coffee maker! Just as good as pour over with far less trouble.

Love this machine so far. However, a couple of things to mention: The coffee pour from the carafe could be better…it’s drippy and you have to really invert the carafe to get all of the coffee out. Make sure you love flat bottom filters. A cone filter option is possible, but it requires a different carafe with a magnet sensor on the bottom that you have to buy additionally from Ratio. My glass chemex carafe does not work on this machine which is a drag. At this price point, it should really come with options of flat and cone. Might return. Undecided. Brews efficiently and the carafe keeps the temp hot for a couple hours.

Simply love it. It makes great coffee and is simple to operate. It makes a better cup than my Moccamaster, or any of the pour over devices I own with less work. (If I had to find a fault, am not crazy about the way the coffee exits the pot into my cup.)

I really like everything about the Ratio. I’m coming from Chemex “Ottomatic” and I love the way it keeps the coffee hot without a heating plate, which degrades the character of the coffee very quickly. Brews quickly and results in a flavorful, full-bodied cup. A couple of thoughts: I usually brew just for myself—a smaller version of the machine would be good for those of us who make smaller batches. Also, the “pour” could use a little work—especially in a small brew. Prone to a little dripping and you need to over-tip the coffee pitcher. But on balance, an excellent machine. And looks superb on the counter!

I’ve stopped making hand pour overs and drinking coffee at restaurants since getting the ratio six. It makes great coffee. But I prefer the coffee with Chemex paper and the glass carafe over the metal filter which I find gives a slightly muddy flavour and silty cup. The flat bottom basket with the thermal carafe makes solidly good coffee, however the European #4 basket with Moccamaster paper to me makes the perfect coffee, giving a more nuanced coffee. I can’t beat it and have stopped searching.

Makes great coffee consistently & fast. The controls are simple & nice & overall very nice looking on my counter. It’s on the expensive side but if it lasts I will be very pleased with my purchase.

Bought the Ratio 6 for its' design and reviews about construction quality. Am not disappointed, success. My only complaint is the pourability and heat retention of the carafe. The first pour (cup) is fine but after that, the coffee seems to just gurgle out and the last is difficult to pour unless you take the top off. I think this all has to do with pressure in the carafe. As far as retaining heat my Yeti does a lot better.

The coffee is good, but the build quality could be better. The heat shield isn’t tall enough to seal anything The carafe lid is cheaply built and gets filled with water. The carafe is hard to pour but not terrible. Also the water marks are bad. Why not just make it according to the RATIO recommended
