Thanks for the note, Owen! Have you considered our thermal carafe for the Ratio Eight? It will raise the temperature quite a bit. Also, the Ratio Six has an enclosed brewing chamber more like Technivorm (styled more like a traditional batch brewer, not a pour over style). Let us know how we can help!

“Cannot say anything good or bad since the R8 did not function at all, the one pot of coffee took far longer than expected and was was not as hot as expected and the taste was only "OK". The R8 then did not function at all after the one pot to coffee. I can say that the service and return of the defective unit was well handled and professional. I was disappointed with the thermal carafe which kept the coffee at a drinkable temperature for only 1-1.5 hours when I stored coffee from our old still functional machine (not an R8).”
