“Beautiful piece of coffee brewing equipment. Have been using both the paper Chemex style filters for a full batch, and the Able cone metal filter for partial batches. Both create excellent results. Water is distributed evenly so no stirring necessary. Only one thing I would change: where the cord comes out. Would be nice if it were on the back corner of the base rather than the very back since it sticks out a couple of inches, requiring the unit to sit farther from the wall.”
“5 stars. Coffee really does taste better than other machines we've used, and we use a pretty basic ground coffee. Even makes house smell better (kid you not) with the aroma. Recommend putting the coffee into a thermos to keep hot, as the glass carafe isn't insulated. However, even left over coffee (drunk the next day) tastes good when reheated.”
“I made my first pot of coffee today and it was not only delicious but the ease of making it was a long time coming. I have been making coffee in a Chemex for years and at 80 years old I decided to treat my self to the Ratio Eight. I would recommend this product to anybody.”
“This is simpler than the simplest, cheapest machines. I could not have gotten luckier as truthfully this is a great brewer with great constructionz and it just so is made to work with a Chemex setup.
Coffee has been delicious compared to brewing with a thermometer-based kettle over a similar Chemex build.”
“This is a superior product. It’s not inexpensive but you definitely get what you pay for. It’s worth every penny. I’m difficult to please when it comes to coffee and I looked at A LOT of other (and more expensive) options and this was the best decision I made. The coffee is a pleasure to make and drink. And this company’s customer service is without equal in my opinion. They want to ensure you’re satisfied, period. And they go above and beyond what any other consumer products company I have ever dealt with does. I love this product and I love dealing with the people who work at this company. They’re great.”
