This is the ONE! The juice cleanse that kills sugar cravings, relieves the bloat without feeling starved and cranky! Do yourself a favor, start here instead of trying the "others" and being dissatisfied. Especially if you're female, over 60 and workout!

I ordered this Protein Cleanse in order to help me feel better physically after the holidays. I didn't treat this cleanse like a strict cleanse - I used the juices and smoothies more as supplements to my meals, and tried to include more nutritious foods in my meals during this cleanse. I did enjoy every item in the cleanse and I was extremely surprised by that! Practically every juice I've tried before Raw Generation I've had to choke down rather than enjoy. My favorite items in this cleanse though were the sweet greens, sweet roots, citrus carrots, and cacao hemp. I also really loved that Raw Generation even had a protein cleanse to begin with! I work out almost every day and 4 of those days involve heavy weightlifting so I definitely needed a cleanse that was going to stand up to that.

I love the ORIGINAL lower sugar cleanse with the Cacao and Vanilla smoothies. The updated one is not as good and has more calories. I was in a buy 3, get 1 free promo and feel annoyed. If I had known my 4th cleanse would have been a different one, I wouldn't have bought the whole cycle. Green protein and vanilla greens are weird combos and they don't taste good. Some of us prefer to have a cleanse option that is not ENTIRELY green.

I chose the lower sugar option because it was still restricting calories and had more protein. I figured the skinny option might make me feel like crap with mainly calories from sugar. My excuse for ‘juicing’: I wanted to try to kickstart weight loss goals before the holidays and hopefully lose some weight before the weight gain season. Planning to follow-up the juicing diet with exercise, intermittent fasting, and a 1700ish calorie diet. Note on exercise: I love biking but I biked for a month before this and hardly saw any changes. So I decided to try the treadmill (guh!). I spent 45-60 minutes mostly walking, but jogging 3 minutes for every 7 minutes of walking and saw changes immediately. My body needed something more manual at this point to see changes, I guess. My body: 5’10”, ~165, “skinny fat” - so I don’t look fat clothed, but naked it’s like, ‘hey, she could tone that shirt up a bit.’ Squishy, especially in the thighs - and not in a cute way. I also call it the “former athlete” body - a ‘good base’ but needs to lose some extra fat. Day 1: decided to take a 4-hour round-trip car ride to visit family. On the way back home, I was exhausted and was sure I might pee and/or poop my pants. Thankfully, I made it home without issues. Had green juice poops on night one. Lost 1 pound by the next morning. Day 2: was a little manic and kept busy. Had energy. No major green juice poops. Only took 5 of 6 bottles - skipped apple celery. Weight didn’t change by next morning - wth, body!? Day 3: kept it low key. Wanted to eat red meat midday so I drank a protein juice and then supplemented it with three beets and made it through the cravings. Felt a little meh/sad in the evening. Lost 1 pound by the next morning. Day 4: did a few activities but mostly low key. Had some energy and no major cravings. I think I’m going to make it to day 5! Skipped a bottle today. Stomach had some gurgles but it wasn't too upset today. Lost 1 pound. Day 5: kept it somewhat low key but did some physical activities. Lost 1 pound. Tummy was not too grumbly. Skipped a bottle today. Day 6: Weight was the same as yesterday. Time to eat! Woo. Order of drinks: I started my day with one of the lower calorie options, usually strawberry greens and then saved protein greens for when I first started feeling hungry later in the morning. Then, I drank the lower calorie options throughout the day, saving the second higher protein (vanilla protein) for afternoon energy/cravings. I usually saved one lower calorie drink before settling down for the evening. Note on drinking: I never chugged the juices, I'd always sip them over a few minutes. Taste: They were yummy. Protein greens was my favorite flavor. A tip a friend gave me that I lived by during the juice diet: don’t trust any farts. Things I don’t recommend during juice diet: sex, unfortunately. But I do recommend this before and after. ;) Stuff to think about: this lower sugar option still exceeded my daily sugar goals, but I guess natural sugar is less awful. Consider a teaspoon of vinegar before each juice to help reduce glycemic index after a juice. I saw changes, but didn’t see *huge* changes compared to exercise, but certainly was less physically demanding - I actually lost more weight in the preceding three days by walking/jogging with a 1700 calorie diet and intermittent fasting (4 pounds, 3 days vs 4-5 pounds, 5 days). But this juice diet did help me to have some serious self control when it came to cravings and helped me to remember what it’s like to feel hungry. My tummy is less squishy and even my neck/chin is a bit less fatty. So, I’d do it again, but I sure did miss food. It, however, was nice to not cook and clean for 5 days! Will I do it again? Yep, I just purchased another 5-day cleanse to use for later this winter. http://rawgenerationinc.refr.cc/sherriew  Aaaaand now to keep the weight off! Wish me luck, and good luck to you, too. :)

This is my favorite of the cleanses. I think this is much better than the original protein cleanse which was very high in sugar, especially the smoothies that had dates in them. I love that these juices had both fiber and protein to keep me satisfied. I liked all flavors except for the citrus mint one. I didn't care for that flavor or the texture (had quite a bit of sediment in it so I had to repeatedly put the cap on and shake it).
